KURA 2–BACK STOREHOUSE
This newer storehouse held overflow from the older front o-kura as the family expanded. The smaller side-room served as a warehouse for miso, which continues to be a representative product of the Shinshu region.
外気温に左右されず、冬は暖かく、夏は涼しい蔵は代々大事なものを保存するために使われてきました

Spacious main house
The expansive Omoya, or main house, spans 244 square meters of comfort and charm. The first floor features a cozy living room, dining room, kitchen, 1 bedroom, a quiet work-space, a traditional tatami room with an irori, and two baths — one modern, and the other constructed of fragrant hinoki (cypress) with a tsuboniwa (small Japanese garden). Upstairs you’ll find two inviting bedrooms: one, a tatami-mat room enveloped in custom handmade washi by celebrated Kurotani craftsman Wataru Hatano, whose internationally acclaimed work blends centuries-old papermaking traditions with a contemporary aesthetic; and the other, a modern bedroom offering luminous garden views. The entire Villa is suitable for families or groups of up to 10 guests.
約244平米の広さを誇る母屋には、1階にリビングルーム、ダイニングルーム、ゆったりとしたキッチン、寝室が1室、静かなワークスペース、囲炉裏を備えた伝統的な畳のお部屋、そして2室の浴室がございます。浴室のうち1室はユニットバス、もう1室は坪庭付きで、香り高い檜風呂をお楽しみいただけます。2階には趣の異なる2つの寝室をご用意しております。ひとつは、黒谷の名工・波多野遼氏による特注の手漉き和紙で仕上げられた畳のお部屋で、和紙のやわらかな質感と光の移ろいが織りなす空間は、まるで繭に包まれるような安らぎを感じていただけます。もう一室は、お庭を見下ろせる明るくモダンな寝室となっております。母屋全体では、最大で10名様までご宿泊いただけます。
